Last post of the year

I hope it was a Merry Christmas for all of my readers.

We spent our Christmas in Pagosa Springs and had quite a grand time.

I haven't been doing so well keeping up with this blog, but I have been writing. November consisted of writing for NANOWRIMO. It is a challenge for writers to write. 50,000 words in a month. It is difficult, but totally doable and fun. The only downside is it takes all my free time to keep up with it, and I usually create a lame mental block the first half of the month and get more cleaning done than writing. Oh well. And the other reason I haven't been blogging is because right after accomplishing the nanowrimo...my computer charger decided to melt on me.

So here I am. Almost two months later, and I have a new app to figure out how to post from.

This coming year I am working on a give-away for some things that I have been making, and I would love to join in on a few blog hops..soo if you are starting one, let me know!

Also any suggestions on apps for updating blogs would be greatly appreciated. This one is a little odd.

Here's to a wonderful new year full of love and light to all!

As always, thanks for reading

Here is our Nephew getting down presents our elf, Star hid all over the rental cabin. Sneaky little elf.

The boys went skiing while Deenie and I had fun on a snowmobile!

And Christmas day was so full of love. I will post my awesome gifts after the new year. If you like crafts and books...you'll want to come see what I got!

Making Shrunken Heads for Halloween

Oh yes. It is almost that time again! So as we plan our fun, I am reminded of years past when my Mom used to always give us a little treat bag for Halloween.

We lived in a small neighborhood, so the candy pickin's were quite slim. There was always one or two neighbors that give us the bulk of our candy haul, but many of the houses were quite dark on Hallow's Eve.

Last year we had a fun Halloween party and I did a post about what I wanted to make for the party and decor. Did you go check that link out?  ^the one up there^   It has some other good ideas for treats and tricks!

So here's how our Shrunken Heads went:

You will need:
  • As many apples as you feel inspired to fiddle with (any kind will do- I went with cheap, here)
  • Something to cut on/in/with (I sat on the couch watching a movie while the Hubs worked, with a bread pan in my lap. It worked fine.)
  • A bowl full of water with a splash of lemon juice (it will prevent the apples from turning, and helps with the drying process)
  • An oven set to low
  • A little bit of creativity
Start with apples...do I really need to show a picture of an apple? Didn't think so. I went ahead and peeled them-no fancy tools needed. Just use small knives (or cheese knives like I did!) And then look at them for a bit of inspiration. After peeling- I just gouged a couple holes for eyes, cut away a nose and gave each one a different mouth. I even attempted a kitty head. Cute, huh?

Step 1: Peel the apples. Doesn't matter what kind. I just bought the cheapest there. Bigger apples make bigger heads, and different kinds make different color heads in the end. For the first one we just used the same kind of apples.

Step 2: Soak the peeled apples in water with a little bit of lemon juice. A tablespoon or two will suffice.

Step 3: After soaking the apples a bit-the lemon juice method helps to keep them from browning and getting mushy- carve them into faces.Tip No. 1:  Be sure to over exaggerate the features. Remember these guys are going to shrink! A LOT!

As you can see- they don't need too much detail... and if you are wondering where the scraps are- well. It was apple, after all. I ate every last piece that I carved away. ^_^

Step 4: Turn your oven on to no higher than 175 F. Put the apples on a wire rack, and stick them in the oven. After about ten minutes turn the oven off and let the apples sit over night.

These are the wonderful things I woke up to! Aren't they awesome!?

If they haven't fully dried out, just put them back in the oven, crank it to 175 F and then shut it off. And repeat that until they are dried to your heart's content.

Then: skewer, and poke into a burlap sack filled with beans. Or find another way to display your creations! Either way, have fun and show me what you made! I'd love to see your ghoulish friends!!!

Working on an update!

There has been quite a lot going on around this little house of love...please forgive my absence, and brace yourselves for some changes! (My 10 loyal readers....^-^)

Oh, and if I were to do a give-a-way...what would be something you'd be interested in? Something handmade? Or an item I love? I'd love to know!

Here are some insta-updates, and see you all again soon!
My only large tomato...it was supposed to be purple! >.<'

We FIGured out what to do with all these!

And some homemade ice cream cones! Yum!

Now that we're almost out of the summer fray, I am ready to get back to business! Hope you had a great summer, and did lots of fun things with your loved ones!

What to do with a sickie kiddo!

Sang to the tune of that Drunken Sailor Song...What DO you do with a sickie kiddo?

You love them. And give them what they need...

Not so easy when what they think they need is completely different from what they actually need.

Our poor lil guy got sick something awful last week. I woke up early in the morning to be greeted by a present on the floor. Right in between the toes.

I know! Gross.

All he wanted to do was cuddle and watch movies-so that's what we did with most of our time together. But I made a nice container of jello and a couple recipes from an old book I found on "keeping house" from back in the day when Homemaking was an art.

This was what he wrote for me in his journal after getting better. The sickie kiddo, that would tell me to be sure I got my rest as I tucked him.

His fever had been rough, and he was devastated about missing his champs day, but we had our own lowkey game day at home to make up for it. This is why we do what we do, right?

This is what I do with my sickie kiddo.

What do you do with yours?

Mighty Motivation

13 weeks ago I joined a great group of ladies that are working on getting slim by summer. I've enjoyed reading all the posts and joining in on the journeys of others. They are all amazing women and I am honored to be a part of this group.

This week the assignment is: Motivation

Why do I do what I do? What keeps me going?

I love waking up to this...my back? Not so much.
Well lately all my time has been absorbed by spring activities-  we've been camping for a week in Big Bend, my hubbilicious man turned 35, we had a MAJOR water leak and had to replace the 40 year old main line, went camping at Enchanted Rock, are preparing for a garage sale and today our business moved out of the home, primarily, and into an office! Oh and weddings( and lots of them) Yeah, so where do I find time for me in all that? Well, it gets tricky. Walks with the dog have been my biggest regular exercise along with jamming to some tunes while cleaning and working in the garden.
Oh, I know. Glamorous life, isn't it?
Our View of the sunset in the basin of Big Bend. Delightful.

My motivation is to be healthy, and to love myself more. Since graduation I no longer walk the hills on a daily basis and I am no longer am a server or bartender those hours on my feet each week melting the calories and fat off my bod.

So to trigger a bit of that motivation, I agreed to let the hubs have his office away from home (for part of the week-I like doing my writing with him here some of the time) and along with the office comes a gym membership! So in addition to having my living room back, and having space to do yoga and my Jillian Fitness Ultimatum I get a gym to get my sweat on!

I'm excited to do this last push of getting in a routine of working out and see a change before summer gets here.

What is your motivation? Is it love? health? your kids? Happiness?
I'd love to hear it!

Thanks for visiting my lil bloggie thingy!
A blessing for the wedding couple!

busy little bees are we

I said 2013 was going to be a great year. Phew-didn't realize in saying that we would be so busy!

This is not a complaint, I am so thankful for this year so far! We've started juicing (which has been giving me much more energy), we have a dog and a cat, are Den Leaders for the fourth year running, I'm gardening (I just put in another bed, and it's ready for baby plants!), and writing, helping the darling husband with the business, and are about to spend a week in Big Bend!

Life is good. So while I make some homemade instant oatmeal, kolaches and bread for our camping trip. I will try and do a few blog posts, and take pictures.

Here is a quick photo dump of the past week:

We have been experiencing strong winds...and between this limb and
another hanging precariously from our power line, we got lucky!

We went antiquing and celebrated my parent's 39th year of marriage!
I found this little gem I wish I could have.
Jon found this for a few good reads, and it has me writing more. ^_^
My Mom found this gem, and it is now in a place of honor!
It reminds me of her. <3

Well, that's a bit of what's been going on here. Hope you've been having as much fun as we have!

Whoa-where'd I go!?

Oh my. I can't believe the directions this month has been taking me! Between getting ready for a week long cub scout campout (oh yeah, we're crazy) our juicy journey, and spring being here (gardening time!) I have neglected this bloggie thingie a bit.

So how about a bit of an update before I get to business?

We finished our juice, and are feeling good! We've decided to do our own version of the reboot, and have been working in healthy recipes while juicing. We've loved the juicing so much so that we are going to try and make it a part of our everyday routine.

It was hard to think that this jar would make us feel full, but it was bizarre. We weren't hungry....I sure missed my coffee, but I learned that the coffee was actually making it hard for our bodies to absorb nutrients we were eating.

The green juice was one of our favorites for the morning. It energized us, and really kept us going till our lunch juice.

As seen by the in-progress photo here...I began to enjoy the juices in a different way. As I would wash all the veggies and fruits to juice it was as if I could feel my body absorbing the smells better and the colors became more vivid. I would toss in a beet, and giggle in excitement as the aroma filled my nose. The joy came when I was finished juicing and cleaning the machine, and could take that first sip of juicy goodness.

The combinations are endless and experimenting with flavors can be fun-especially if you can tolerate a few not so tasty blends. Oh yeah, I had those too. The ones that Jon would say, in his ever so encouraging way; "just chug it babe, you gotta drink it"

If you are thinking of juicing I would highly recommend it. If you need to lose a bit of belly, then a proper cleanse can really help. My next post I'll let in on just how much I lost in the 5 day cleanse!

Juicy Journey: Day 3 Update

It is day three of our Juicy Journey, and I am feeling a lot better than yesterday. Still don't have that wonderful splurge of purported energy to happen any day now...but I'm ready for it!

Yesterday was rough. Silly me thought it would be wise to do a little workout in the morning. It was yoga, and it made me woozy! The afternoon was the hardest part of the day-a headache like nobody's business, and a few food cravings. Nothing too bad, but I did start to wonder how long we could actually go.

The most surprising part-I haven't been hungry. Bizarre, I know! We drink hot water with lemon in the morning, while I get the fruits and veggies ready to go. Take the pup on a walk, and then juice. A couple large glasses of water and some coconut water to get us to lunch...and then a juice at lunch. Followed by more water and coconut water. Then we make a dinner juice, I make food for our Shi guy and after even more water we have tea before bed with lemon and ginger. Other than missing crunching into food, and popcorn for family movie night, and the feel of a grilled burrito...I don't feel like I'm missing out too much.

I do know this: We are super excited to plan our meals for when we get off this cleanse! Once I get that energy back-it'll be time to finish up my Menu Board!

This was our first juice! Just look at that greenage!

I'd love some recipes if you've done a juice or know of anybody who has!

Good Habits?

I can't believe it is already Week 5 of the Slim by the Summer challenge I joined! I have been able to meet some great ladies and have enjoyed all the encouragement and new blogs to read!

This week's theme is.....

I have to say, lately we have gotten better. I am not big on fast food, but I sure love fried chicken, and my husband knows he can usually just say the words "why not take a break tonight" and we go to our favorite spot for a Taco salad or fried chicken, or my absolute guilty pleasure- chicken fried steak.

Ok. I have to stop talking about all that bad food! So, lately when he says those words I have learned to love... I suggest a restaurant that has something I know I won't blow my workout/goal for the day. We are learning to plan our guilty pleasures for more rare occasions, and when we are both feeling stressed and would rather grab something quick, I try to stick to Thai soups and stir frys, Mexican Tortilla Soup, or talk the hubs into salad at home followed by some Frozen Bananas!  And my little reward system has been a great motivator for myself. My jar is looking nice!

Of course, right now we are doing a juice cleanse...so eating out is just not an option.

On another note...vacations. I know it can be so hard to eat well when on vacation. What I've tried doing there is planning as much as possible before we go. I look for healthy restaurants in the area we will be in, and plan as many meals as possible to cook in our living arrangements. If it is camping, we take a dutch oven and lots of veggies and foil...in hotels I've been known to bring my sandwich press and our water kettle to blanch veggies-but if it is a long term stay we usually get a place with at least a kitchenette.

What are your tricks? And what treats do you allow? Are you a no-drive-thru type, or a sometimes? We've said no to drive-thrus since the new year and I hope to keep it that way!

It is about to get juicy!

I talked my husband into watching Fat, Sick and Nearly Dead...and before we were half way through he declared "Oh we can definitely do this."

So thank goodness, I don't have to try and do this by myself!

We bought a juicer yesterday, and I can't wait to wake up and drink our first glass of micro-nutrient rich juice!

The funny, and sad thing is...we had been planning on a wine and cheese night together, but while watching the film, we both decided we no longer wanted the wine and cheese!

The plan was to start the 15 day reboot from Joe Cross, but after he watched the film the hubs said he would be fine just juicing, and not starting with a vegetarian spread of foods mixed with juicing the first 5 days.

I recently won Sprouts Defy it with Your Diet, and a gift card to sprouts-so I was lucky enough to be able to use that to start our cleanse with!

I couldn't believe how much it would take for the first few days. I am expecting this amount to last us through Wednesday.

The trunk was full! But since it was full of great things for us, it felt good...I usually feel bad after checking out at the grocery store, but I was actually happy this time.

If you have ever cleansed, or detoxed you know the first few days are the hardest...so I will do my darndest to keep up with the whole ordeal-and if I am cranky, I am sorry. I am a caffeine addict, and that is hard stuff to give up.

Thanks for reading, and I hope you join me for our Juicy Journey! Will you join me?

Some Juicy News

A quick post, today. We bought a juicer! I am so excited! I am currently mapping out our quest for better health and will be back later tonight to share with you the details!

I will be documenting our Juicy Journey, and can't wait to see what happens!

I watched Hungry For Change on Netflix, and then Fat, Sick, and Nearly Dead, also on Netflix. Talked to my Husband about the desire for us to change our lifestyle, and now he is on board!

We're going to the store now....so I'll be back later with some eye candy for you!

Stay tuned!

My New Favorite Recipe- Blueberry Banana "Ice Cream"

Blueberry Banana "Ice Cream" Delish!
As a part of the Slim by Summer challenge we are supposed to share a recipe. This one is one that I love because it is a treat that is so versatile!

Banana "Ice Cream"
(this makes just enough to share)

Two frozen bananas sliced, and frozen for at least a couple hours
Almond Milk
Vanilla Extract or Bean

Puree bananas with a food processor until crumbly, add additional ingredients and puree until creamy. Then enjoy!

THAT'S IT! There aren't any measurements because I eyeball the amounts. Bananas are all different sizes, and sometimes you need more almond milk than others. You can make this without almond milk, but adding a splash makes the Ice Cream creamier. All you really NEED are bananas, but I love it with a bit of vanilla, and blueberries. Or peanut butter and cocoa powder....or raspberries and cacao nibs...the possibilities are endless!

What it looks like when I can't help but "try" a big spoon!

For future treats freeze in ice cube trays (shaped ones are fun for kiddos)
and make a bigger batch to enjoy later on!

Have you tried this? Let me know how it worked out, and your favorite flavor combinations!

I am hungry for change, you should be too!

It's true...I am ready for a change. Since joining the slim by summer group, I've realized that I need to make some core changes. My routine needs some shaping, as does my grocery list.

I've been sick. Really sick, the bulk of this week, and it's been a while since I've been this sick. I think it is partially due to my diet. No, I'm not ON a diet...but my diet is lacking. I used to detox regularly and make sure I got enough fruits and veggies, but now I am more worried about what I feed my family, and just forget to eat most of the time...not good.

I think my body reacts by holding onto everything I give it, and craving carbs...and lots of them.

While I was sick, and not writing my blog...please forgive me, I am sorry... I watched a few movies, and then, this one stuck out Hungry For Change.

If you haven't watched it, please do. If you want to be healthy, then you want to watch it.

Needless to say, I am changing my mornings from starting with coffee and sugar, to a healthy shake, and exercise first thing. No more low fat, or low cal foods in this home...no more processed crap making us fat. I am changing our lives, and filling it with more of the good stuff we need.

Don't diet, don't starve yourself of the good healthy foods you love...fill your body with all the goodness of nature and change with me! I can't wait!

Get in my Wardrobe!

I don't go shopping too much, and when I do- I prefer Thrift stores, or Target. I have an issue with paying too much for clothes, and love finding great deals! So...here is a bit of something I'd definitely be seen in! Love the entire wardrobe, and I think it all is from Target! (No I don't get kickbacks...I just love their sale prices) ^_^

Break the Mundanity

Variety is the spice of life, right?

Oh yes. From the vegetables in your garden and your plate, to the spices in your cooking- variety is key!

So why wouldn't your workout need the same? It does! You can't focus on arms everyday, nor legs...mix it up! Trying to target one area of your body will drive you bonkers, as will doign the same routine day after day....unless you are a heartless robot. Then it is probably ok.

So in honor of the Slim by Summer theme this week, I am breaking the rules and saying NO to a routine! I want to mix it up, and keep it fun. Otherwise, I know I will get bored and so will my muscles!

I've made a Pinterest Board so you can see what I'm doing and Feel the Burn along with me!

This was today's Thinspiration- I did everything on the list!

And tomorrow....

Do you have a routine? Or do you like mixing it up?

Thanks for visiting!

Even Adults Need a Reward Once in a While!

This is day three of my participation in Slim by the Summer with some Lovely Ladies... you can join us too!

After reading Misty's blog that was full of such honesty and inspiration, I was reminded that in this journey we have to figure out a way to keep us going.

What better than a reward system, right? I mean the biggest reward will be when I go and buy that bathing suit and enjoy trying on suits...when's the last time I looked forward to trying on swimsuits? Uh...probably 2010, or was it 2009? I don't remember. What I do remember is that rewards work wonders when trying to inspire our kiddo to do his chores and remember things to help himself. So...here are my ideas:
  • Once I hit my 1/4 mark, meaning I've lost a 1/4 of my goal weight...I'm going to let myself, once a week- so something for me. 30 Minutes of reading, or lunch with a friend, or something I've been wanting to do.
  • When I hit my 1/2 way mark, it'll be a date with the Hubs! I'm hoping to be at the 1/2 way by April, and that will be just in time for his Birthday! I've got it planned, a picnic at the river, just us and our doggie. Sounds fun, right?
  • 3/4 mark-will probably be the beginning of the plateau-so this reward will be something to get me going-spur me on to going that last bit of the way and finishing my goal- so that reward will be a new workout outfit. Shoes and all. (I'm sure I will need shoes my then, with all this jogging/walking I'm doing!)
  • And when I hit my goal...we are going to take a trip! It will be just in time for our Anniversary and we've been wanting/needing to get away. Want to know how I plan on making that happen? Well, I'm going to tell you:

The Goal Fund:

In order to hold myself more accountable for my bad habits, and hopefully break them, as well as get my husband in on helping me reach my goal-I've put together a plan of action.

If you and your significant other are anything like us...we get lazy and take the easy way out. We try to teach our lil guy that the easy way only makes more work in the end....oh listen to that! I need to follow my own advice! And this jar is going to help me!

  • Every time one of us says-let's just go get....dinner out, or an unhealthy meal...and the other one sticks to the healthy plan of eating, we get to put a dollar in the jar!
  • Each time I choose a healthy snack instead of those cookies or whatever else I made for the kiddos: I put in a quarter.
  • Every week when I make a healthy meal plan, and stick to it...I put in another 2 dollars.
  • If I eat breakfast or my smoothie within 2 hours of getting up, fifty cents.
  • If I reach my exercise goal for the day: fifty cents.
I figure, with all the money we will be saving not eating out, we will be able to keep this reward system going! We usually cave in at least two times a week and eat out when we could have just as easily made a healthy meal at home. So there's two dollars a week. Every day there is temptation for an unhealthy snack-so that would be at least two more dollars a week. Plus another two dollars each week I meal plan, and 3.50 a week from good breakfasts, as well as 3.50 for working out...equaling 13 a week! Times 23 weeks of the challenge: a whopping $299! Sounds like a good va-cay to me!
That's gonna be my jar by summer!

What are you doing to help nudge yourself into making healthier habits?
Happy Wednesday!
~Cassie <3 <3 <3

Feeling blue?

I was feeling a bit down last night, so I decided I needed a little pick-me-up!

Working out, jogging, and stretching always makes me feel better! I used to come home from school (back in my teen-angsty days) and hop on my bike (even after a couple hours busting butt at tennis) and ride the hills around my house until I was so tired I could barely get home and flop on the couch.

I've since learned how to deal with my emotions, and find a positive spin on things...most of the time. Then there are those days when I just need to get out that energy and run. Oh how good I feel after busting my butt on the pavement! So, after I destressed last night, I started this board. I hope it inspires you to not let the blues get to you, and to remember even when you are down, a little RT will make you feel better! (Road Time-on a bike, or on foot: hit the road!)

Let's get Foxy! AKA: It is Thinspiration Time!

Like I said in my last post, I am linking up with some lovely ladies to get Slim by Summer!

I can't wait! There will be a weekly assignment for us to get in on, and lots of prizes! If you want to join (which I highly suggest) we'd love to have you! There is a place on facebook to chat, a pinterest board for tips and inspiration and all the ladies I've had a chance to chat with are pretty awesome!

Beach Beauty

This is my thinspiration! Who wouldn't love to head to the beach looking like that!? I have the bag, journal, hat and umbrella...and if I reach my goal my reward will be the bathing suit and earrings! ^_^
(I just joined Polyvore, and I think I am in trouble...it seems like so much fun! Send me a request-I want to see what people are doing over there, too!)

Long term, I just want to be healthier. I don't get sick very often, but I would also like to get off the pounds that have accumulated in my happy marriage, and the transition to walking all over the hilliest college campus every day, as well as hours of being on my feet bartending and serving. It really was easy to stay slimmer when I would spend the whole weekend on my feet!

What are your goals? and inspiration? I hope you will link up with us!

Tomorrow, I'll Love ya!

Today, was a dream!

We don't usually get the best weather here...Texas is usually Hot Hot HOT, or cold and bleak. The in-between is left for the other parts of the world. Those four complete seasons are lost on us, as we transition from Hot to Cold Back to Hot, and then Hades.

But today.....oh it was glorious!
A windmill at Jon Darling's newest remodel project

The sky was blue, and the morning had a lovely chill, but the day was warm and crisp. It made me want to bottle up the air and use it on one of those days. Those days which shall not be named...

I found some great inspiration for my projects coming up, and made a connection with some ladies that are forming a challenge!

Presenting....the:
slimbutton
Challenge!!!

It isn't a resolution, I'm not into those-they just get broken. But it will go perfectly with my newest endeavor; a group of my book club friends are starting a workout group! I am so excited, and a bit nervous. I've offered to use some of my knowledge from a boot camp I participated in to get some variety in our meet-ups and hope to really make it something that can grow into a great thing!

So, the Slim by Summer challenge, hosted by these lovely ladies: Anna from www.geekcanbechic.com and Lanaya from www.raising-reagan.com  combined with my work-out group and healthier, cleaner eating will set me on a path for success!

Not to mention the loooong walks this gal looks forward to twice a day

...I think this will end nicely!

I wanna feel like ME again! ^_^

If you are joining from the Challenge, Welcome! I hope you take a minute to browse, and get to know me! I'm sure I'll be getting to know you on your Blog, Facebook or MyFitnessPal soon!  Tomorrow is the first official post of the challenge, can't wait!

friday finds me favoring frugality

Oh, ok. I've been debating this whole "themed' days thing. and while I think it might work for some people, I began getting absorbed in looking for great words to use that would inspire me, and then took too much going into the meaning of it all- So, while I will keep with a kind of regular rotation of what I post; recipies, home improvements, tips and tincures, and some diy...

And so-in honor of all things frugal, and nothing being final. I happily present:

My top ten tasks to tackle:
(ok, what is with my alliteration today?)

10. Our floors- I want them to resemble this:
Aren't these just gorgeous?

Our floors just need some love...and I'm ready to give them lots of lovin'

9. My pantry- I want to fill it to the brink with healthy Cassie-Made deliciousness!
I was given a great book about making things from scratch and replacing better foods in our lives. I think I am pretty good about staying away from bad processed foods, for the most part. But I'd like to make other things that I previously thought were too difficult, and make our lives just that much healthier!

8. Our bedroom- it needs some finishing touches, and then I can show all the awesomeness that it has become! From this:

That's how we moved in! Only the bathroom and Shi's rooms were finished!
A girl needs a bigger closet!
So...there is more work to be done there. I'll get on it. And we will have that dream bedroom...we will. I just know it!

I'm thinking Historical Romantic meets Modern Eclectic:

+

=

Happy Cassie likes Modern Romantic type stuffs!
7. Our Shed- it needs to be organized, and utilized!

We have so much stuff out there, most of it isn't even ours! It was stuff that was crammed in the house when we bought it, or in the shed when we bought the house, and has not been  throughly gone through. Want to know one of the most bizzare but awesome things there?

That thing in the background...yeah. We have one of those. Know anyone looking to buy?
I'd really like to make a workspace for me out there, either for laundry or potting, or something other than storage for a bunch of junk.

6. Meal Planning- I can't wait to get an easier method for planning out what meals to do each week. So tired of wondering what I should be getting ready for dinner each night. If I just did a little bit of extra work once a week...it will save lots of "Oh shoot! I forgot something"

5. Jewelry- I haven't made anything in quite a while. I need to make something. Soon!

4. Sewing-Teaching myself to sew. Sounds fun and challenging. I like a challenge. Oh, and I have tons of stuff lined up to sew. Ideas, and supplies. Just gotta get on it!

3. Bathroom- Sounds like grathroom sounds like sonicboom to me! yeah, since putting in the new cabinet- I haven't found an organization scheme that I like yet. Time to fix that.

2. The Garden- That time of year, I've been dreaming up what I want in it...time to get started with the seeds and mulch and fertilizers! Woo hoo!

1. My hubby- he needs some special attention. And we need to have some fun dates. Soon! He's been working so hard. Time to spoil him a bit!

Okay, so that's on my agenda....what is on yours? And any suggestions for me? ^_^
